When the comic shop The Sword and the Grail was still in downtown Asheville, I started reading the graphic novel series Scott Pilgrim by talented creator Brian Lee O'Malley.
The series was recently optioned for a big screen adaptation, even though the story isn't finished yet, and both the artist/writer and his likewise talented wife Hope Larson live in nearby Asheville.
Brian quietly answered my questions about the future of the book (questions I am sure he get inundated with all day long) and signed my copies of Pilgrim 1, 2, 3 and 4 as well as a poster which now hangs on my wall.
